Key Responsibilities

1. Cabinet Making and Joinery: Learn and develop skills in cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials to create bespoke cabinetry. Assist in the construction of custom-built cabinets, wardrobes, shelves, and other furniture pieces.2. Material Selection and Preparation: Prepare and process materials for use in cabinetry projects, ensuring accuracy and quality.3. Finishing and Assembly: Learn techniques for sanding and finishing cabinetry to achieve a high-quality, durable finish.4. Maintain a Safe and Organised Workshop: Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Keep the workshop clean, organised, and well-maintained, ensuring tools and equipment are stored correctly.5. Continuous Learning and Development: Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance joinery skills and knowledge. Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and best practices in cabinetry and joinery.

Requirements

• Live in the area or be able to commute to Blackpool easily.• No formal qualifications are required; however, a keen interest in joinery, woodworking, and cabinetry is essential.• Strong practical skills and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.• Good mathematical skills for accurate measuring and cutting.• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.• A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
