The Project

We are creating an interim design team to review several CAPEX Projects that form part of the RIIO T3 investment. As the driving force from the scoping phase to design completion, you will support throughout delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of regulations applicable to the gas and construction industry, CDM Regulations 2015, alongside HS&E team and principal designer and designer roles and responsibilities through design and construction phases.
  • Comprehension of engineering principles and ability to apply learning across different engineering disciplines.
  • Financial management and commercial acumen, excellent influencing and negotiating, customer orientation, and communication skills.
  • Leadership, people management, and supporting individuals to develop.
  • Understanding of programme management and ability to use planning software tools to create and update programmes.
  • MS Office software and experience working with SAP.
  • Knowledge of the gas network, key policies, and specifications, and managing and delivering engineering contracts (NEC3 or NEC4).
  • Asset Management qualification and knowledge.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Working towards chartered engineer (with relevant professional institute).
