Job Summary

The Engineering Stores Supervisor - Operations Manager will oversee the daily management of the Engineering Stores to ensure all required parts and consumables are available to facilitate efficient completion of planned and corrective maintenance. This role will provide direct oversight of stock and non-stock parts ordering, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of spare parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels, reduce waste, and minimize stockouts.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, third-party contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and materials.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise a team of CMMS administrators responsible for creating spare parts data in SAP, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintenance Planning: Collaborate with the Engineering maintenance planner to ensure all required parts are available for upcoming planned maintenance activities.
  • Problem-Solving: Interface with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve supply chain issues and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education: Higher National Certificate or equivalent Level 4 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Supervisory experience managing teams, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with cGMPs and manufacturing operations in FDA-regulated facilities is preferred.
