Product Development Manager

We are seeking a talented Product Development Manager to join our Kitchens team at Wickes. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end product development life cycle of our kitchen furniture products, utilising market research and customer insights.

  1. New Product Introduction: Develop innovative kitchen products through rigorous market analysis and customer feedback.
  2. Product Line Extension: Expand our range of kitchen-related products, including furniture, storage solutions, handles, and lighting.
  3. Content Creation: Produce engaging online content to deliver an exceptional buying experience for customers.
  4. Exhibition Support: Assist in creating set designs, ordering, and implementation for media advertising and internal exhibitions.
  5. Competitor Analysis: Conduct thorough competitor research and pricing analysis to understand customer needs.
  6. Project Management: Create project timelines and implementation schedules.
  7. Supplier Partnership: Collaborate with existing suppliers and identify new potential partners.
Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in product management, knowledge of the product development life cycle, and a commercial mindset. A sound understanding of marketing and sales principles is essential. Experience in the kitchen industry and kitchen manufacturing is desirable but not necessary. Additionally, you will have:

  1. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to create product development and marketing strategies.
  2. Project Management Skills: Good project management skills to deliver projects on time.
  3. Data Analysis: Ability to analyse complex data to identify market trends and customer behaviour.
  4. Educational Requirements: GCSE Maths and English or equivalent required, with a preference for a Degree-level education.
  5. Driving Licence: Required for supplier visits and exhibition trips.
