About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Adult Replacement Care Service Team at Osborne Court.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to adults and children with learning disabilities, requiring nursing care due to complex health or behaviour. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting service users with personal care, moving and handling, supporting them to participate in activities, socializing, and making and maintaining friendships.

You will admit and discharge service users, manage medication, and carry out clinical interventions such as enteral feeding and oxygen therapy. Your leadership skills will enable you to lead a shift, delegate responsibilities, and provide evidence-based nursing care to service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take charge of the Service for a span of duty in the absence of senior staff.
  • Work without direct supervision, yet as a member of a team.
  • Support all members of the team, supervise, and teach students, unqualified staff, and carers.
  • Provide evidence-based nursing care to service users.
  • Document care given and maintain contemporaneous records.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Relevant learning disability experience.
  • Ability to role model good behaviour.
  • Positive attitude and ability to act on feedback.
  • Registration with the NMC as a Registered Learning Disability Nurse, Registered Nurse Mental Health, or Registered General Nurse.
