About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Animal Management Lecturer to join our team at Sparsholt. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching students in the FE Animal Management area, working closely with other staff and the course team. Your focus will be on general Animal Management subjects, as well as catering to learners with specific needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching a range of subjects within the animal management curriculum, with a focus on theoretical instruction and occasional practical demonstrations.
  • Liaising with staff and the course team to ensure a smooth student learning experience.
  • Developing and delivering teaching materials that meet the needs of students with diverse learning requirements.
Requirements
  • A suitable Animal Management or related subject qualification, such as a Higher National Diploma or Honours Degree.
  • Experience working with learners from 16 years of age, ideally in a teaching or pastoral capacity.
  • Able to demonstrate competent handling of a wide range of animals and hold or be willing to attain a recognised teaching qualification, including the A1 Assessors award.
