About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist Specialist to join our team in Hammersmith and Fulham. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing specialist services to children attending mainstream schools with Speech/Language and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of children with Speech/Language and communication difficulties and develop and implement specialist Speech and Language Therapy treatment plans.
  • Provide advice to parents, carers, and staff on the management and care of children with communication difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support children's communication skills.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Speech and Language Therapy services in mainstream schools.
  • Provide supervision and support to less experienced colleagues and students.

Requirements

  • Degree and Licence to Practise from the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
  • Current registered membership of HCPC and RCSLT.
  • Experience of supporting children, families, and schools in line with the Children and Families Act 2014.
  • Collaborative work with parents and other professionals.
  • Experience of training others.
