Job Title: Hardware Systems Designer

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Systems Designer to join our team at Capula, a leading provider of advanced system integration solutions. As a Hardware Systems Designer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing hardware systems for control panels and other industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop hardware systems for control panels and other industrial applications
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that hardware systems meet customer requirements and industry standards
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to develop and implement design solutions
  • Conduct site surveys and design solutions for customer sites
  • Prepare and review design calculations and documentation
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of designing electrical panels containing PLC's and LV distribution systems
  • Design of electrical cabling and containment systems
  • Educated to at least degree level in relevant subject or HND with additional experience on project implementation
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft office word & excel
  • Able to achieve security clearance to at least SC level, and possibly DV
  • Excellent communication skills for client contact and mentoring
  • Ability to mentor and develop engineers and technicians
  • Good working knowledge of related safety and environmental legislation
  • Able to develop technical solutions to meet project and customer expectations
Desirable Requirements:
  • Worked previously in a highly regulated industry
  • Understanding of EMC practices
  • Will hold or will be working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status
  • MEng qualification
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Site experience (survey/install)
