Quality Engineer - Motorcycle

Premea Limited is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Leicestershire. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and streamlining the company's quality management system, improving and documenting quality policies, processes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of quality policies, processes, and standards.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO:9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Work with various departments to develop process flow diagrams and improve quality processes.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers to audit, document, and update PPAP documents.
  • Responsible for maintaining the PPAP tracker and ensuring suppliers have necessary quality documents.
  • Coordinate Appearance Approval Reports and Form, Fit and Function Reports.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to progress internal corrective actions and improvements.
  • Work with Quality Engineers to establish quality concerns investigation protocol and use GMA SCAR and 8D process.
  • Maintain the Quality Issues Database system.
  • Ensure suppliers understand GMA requirements and provide necessary support.
  • Support warranty issues in the UK and Europe.
Requirements
  • Quality system experience, including maintenance and external system audits.
  • Lead Auditor Qualified (Preferred).
  • Good working knowledge of ISO:9001 and other relevant standards.
  • APQP and PPAP experience.
  • DFM and manufacturing process experience.
  • Quality problem solving, corrective actions, and investigation.
  • Supplier product development support.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • A self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • HND in engineering, mechanical engineering, or quality engineering.
  • At least 6 years of experience in a quality role.
