We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Meriden Media. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for negotiating contracts and executing defined strategies for the procurement of all raw materials, equipment, expense items, and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Purchasing Manager in pursuing business objectives and implementing monitoring procedures to validate supplier performance.
- Establish and maintain long-term supplier relationships, identifying and owning purchasing pipeline projects that achieve savings in excess of annual targets.
- Ensure that purchase orders are accurate to avoid invoice queries and that sufficient material is available in the supply chain via the use of forecasts issued to suppliers.
- Professional membership level of CIPS.
- Strong team player with good knowledge of MS Office applications, specifically Excel to an advanced level.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills, methodical worker with high-level attention to detail.
- Competitive salary of £30-£32k.
- Onsite parking available.
