Procurement Specialist

Kenton Black Ltd is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring construction materials, equipment, and services required for projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost-effective deals.
- Monitor and analyse market trends to anticipate changes in material costs and availability.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
- Manage inventory levels and logistics to optimize efficiency and minimise project delays.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role within the Residential Groundworks industry.
- Solid understanding of materials, specifications, and supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms and pricing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
