Role Overview

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled ENT surgeon to join our team at the Exeter location. As a leading healthcare provider, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters professional growth and development.

About the Role

This full-time position requires an experienced specialist who can contribute to our enthusiastic and friendly team working in a dedicated surgical department covering both outpatients and theatres. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to mentor junior staff, and demonstrate clear logical thinking with an analytical/scientific approach.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the ENT service at middle grade level
  • Contribute to the on-call rota and specialty cross cover as required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the hospital to manage patient care
  • Attend ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and theatre lists for learning and professional development
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Competence to work in a senior clinical role without supervision where appropriate
  • Ability to mentor more junior staff and students
  • Understanding and experience of clinical risk management
  • Clear, logical thinking showing an analytical/scientific approach
