Business Analyst Opportunity in Financial Services

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Leeds, UK. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in analysing, documenting, and proposing process and IT solutions for large and complex business areas/projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting, understanding, challenging, and translating business requirements for projects, and creating functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Capturing and formulating User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Analysing and documenting business processes.
  • Documenting workflows and results of business analysis and obtaining sign-off from internal clients on specifications.
  • Providing a link between internal customers, development teams, and third parties regarding software functionality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Fostering relationships with key business stakeholders and aiding in initiative formulation, estimation, and business case creation and development.

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the Financial Services sector.
  • Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes.
  • Demonstrable experience of writing requirement specifications for Information Systems.
  • End-to-end experience of the project lifecycle.
  • Proven experience interacting directly with end-users.
  • Results-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Education Requirements:

BCS Business Analysis Certification (Practitioner or higher).

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to look at problems logically and work them through to a successful conclusion.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to break down barriers between stakeholders and developers.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate workshops and meetings to deliver an agreed outcome.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Inquisitive, with a desire and ability to explore processes in depth.
