Senior Production Planner Opportunity

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be working with a leading food manufacturer in Ossett, seeking an Interim Senior Production Planner to support their business on a 6-month temporary contract.

As a Senior Production Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Planners and coordinating the production workflow for multiple products. You will be accountable for planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance is achieved at the right cost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement deliverable plans for the 4 key manufacturing processes at multiple levels of aggregation, for multiple time horizons, as part of a planning function
  • Oversee the overall planning function and ensure seamless coordination with cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine plans
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with operations teams
  • Support the day-to-day planning function during holidays, sickness, and training
  • Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure the whole supply chain is optimized
  • Facilitate and manage planning/customer meetings to achieve coherence within the supply chain
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience working within an FMCG environment, preferably in a food manufacturing setting
  • Proven track record of supply chain, demand planning, and customer collaboration
  • Strong analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of IT packages
  • Ability to work with multiple SKUs and possess a hands-on approach to work
