About the Role:
Newly Weds Foods Ltd is a leading food ingredients manufacturing business seeking a Production Planner to support our Planning Supervisor and Supply Chain Team. This is a full-time position based at our European Head Office in Ossett, West Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule production to achieve planning requirements at minimum cost to labour and waste.
- Ensure accurate production schedules are created daily from works orders information provided by the Customer Service team and Unity data.
- Develop and maintain a rework plan to reintroduce re-work product to the process at the earliest opportunity and minimize floor stock levels.
- Update and maintain all information relating to the scheduling process, including machine speeds, efficiencies, batch times, and allergen segregation.
- Collaborate with production management to identify areas of waste and propose improvement measures.
- Schedule and follow up on pre-determined clean down processes.
- Ensure efficiency and run rate information is accurate, reviewed, and updated regularly.
- Communicate priorities and amendments to production management.
- Liaise with the Technical Department regarding production trials.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an FMCG environment, preferably in food.
- Strong knowledge of MRP.
- Excellent time management, organization, coordination, and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to problem solve, negotiate, and work in adaptable situations.
- Ability to work under pressure individually and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working in a fast-moving, changing environment.
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Positive can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.

Job Type:

Pay:
£30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year.
