Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of equipment on client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on forklift trucks, including electric, diesel, and LPG-powered models.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with clients and understanding their needs.
  • On-Site Visits: Travel to client locations for on-site support, including emergency breakdown assistance and scheduled maintenance.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service and repair work.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Salary Information: The estimated annual salary for this role is around £40,000-£50,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a forklift engineer or similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge.
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical Fitness: Good physical condition.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic software and basic computer skills.
