We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Policy Coordinator to join our team at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to Ministers and senior officials, assisting in the formulation of policy and development of crucial knowledge, skills and behaviours to become a policy professional.

As a Senior Policy Coordinator, you will work on a wide range of corporate, financial and business needs, supporting the Directorate to function effectively. You will also have the opportunity to work in different roles within POD, taking into account your interests and matching skills and experience where relevant.

We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills and a team player who supports colleagues, collaborating with others to deliver key outcomes. Good organisation and planning skills with the ability to see the long-term and wider impact of your work are essential.

The salary for this role is £28,000 per annum, plus an additional £8,111 contribution towards your pension scheme. You will also receive 25 days annual leave and 9 days public and privilege holidays per year, as well as learning and development tailored to your role.

We require you to be a British Citizen at the time of application and to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance. This will involve being resident in the UK for five of the last ten years, with at least one year being a consecutive twelve-month period.

  • Good research and analysis skills, including drawing conclusions and making decisions using a sound evidence base.
