About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community CAMHS Specialty Doctor to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support and direct input on clinical cases to children and young people with mental health needs across Waltham Forest.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide care to children and young people with mental health needs
- Provide senior medical support and direct input on clinical cases
- Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards
- Be responsible for patients allocated to you and assess, manage, plan, and deliver care
- Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member
- Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies
Requirements
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders
- At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies
