Job Overview

The Transformation Unit is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Community Medicine to join our team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to our patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient outcomes.

Our stroke service is based at King's Mill Hospital and is an all-inclusive model covering hyper-acute, acute, and rehabilitation services, as well as the Early Supported Discharge (ESD) team for stroke. We are committed to providing the best possible care for our patients and are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our team.

As a Specialty Doctor in Community Medicine, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment, with opportunities for development and progression. You will be responsible for teaching and training junior staff and medical students, as well as ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).

Person Specification
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Full registration with GMC with a licence to practice
  • At least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent) in a relevant specialty
