Our team is at the forefront of developing digital solutions and smart applications, led by industry-recognised specialists.

We are looking to appoint a Wastewater Network Specialist to join our team in Birmingham. We offer working from home and flexible working arrangements, a strong pipeline of projects to work on, and a great benefits package.

You will be working as part of an interdisciplinary team made up of 110 personnel from Stantec, across 8 UK offices and a team in Pune, collaborating to deliver projects throughout the UK & Ireland. This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious and innovative team of engineers, working on specialist modelling frameworks while contributing to industry-leading projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working on urban drainage projects, including storm overflows, nature-based solutions, and sustainable drainage systems
  • Developing and implementing innovative catchment-wide solutions, including 2-D modelling and water quality modelling
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring to other modelling staff
  • Collaborating with clients and consultant/contractor partners to deliver projects

Requirements include:

  • Relevant degree qualification or relative industry experience
  • Membership or working towards membership of an industry-relevant institution, such as ICE or CIWEM
  • Previous experience of projects in an urban drainage environment, including working knowledge of InfoWorks ICM and related GIS software
