Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Wastewater Development Specialist to join our team at Veolia Water Technologies UK. In this role, you will be responsible for selling wastewater treatment chemical solutions and services to industrial customers across the Midlands and Southern regions of the UK.



About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in sales, with experience in technical services solutions. They will be responsible for carrying out sufficient sales activity, territory coverage, and future prospect development to secure orders and achieve personal, annual financial targets.



Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out sales activities to secure orders and achieve financial targets;
  • Maintaining a high level of technical and commercial awareness to demonstrate value to customers;
  • Providing accurate and timely information and reporting in CRM systems;
  • Working closely with marketing teams to develop growth targets and activities;
  • Understanding customer needs, presenting solutions, and creating proposals that clearly identify added value;
  • Maintaining good knowledge of competitor strategy and activity to identify new areas of business growth;
  • Providing excellent service to customers and keeping them informed of progress;
  • Attending trade shows and industry conferences to network, present, and promote the business;
  • Coordinating with other UK Veolia teams to share best practices and insight.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Science, Environmental, or Engineering degree or be qualified by experience. You should also possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider business.

Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include 25 days' annual leave, a market-leading pension scheme, company vehicle, private medical insurance, and employee referral bonuses.
