About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our Mental Health Intensive Support Service team in East Cheshire.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing intensive support to individuals with complex mental health needs, helping them to recover and regain the skills and confidence to live successfully in the community.

You will work closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to develop and implement care plans, providing high-quality levels of care and support to our service users.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all service users engage in their agreed care plans and participate in local community services to promote daily living skills.
  • Developing and maintaining effective therapeutic relationships with service users, contributing to the planning and monitoring of interventions and treatments.
  • Participating in training and education of care staff and third-party organizations to support service users in the community.
  • Identifying and managing risks, developing adaptive care plans, and communicating effectively across a range of scenarios.

We are looking for an individual with a genuine attitude of care and dedication to working with individuals with complex mental health needs. Experience in working with clients in recovery from serious mental health issues is essential.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, as well as a commitment to the principles of community rehabilitation and recovery models.
