We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Administrative Support Specialist to join our Anticoagulation Service team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term opportunity for 12 months, working part-time hours of 22 per week. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to our Anticoagulation Service, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and maintaining high standards of professionalism.

You will work closely with clinic coordinators to provide administrative assistance, manage phone calls, greet patients, and direct clinic flow. Your excellent organizational and communication skills will enable you to effectively communicate with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Anticoagulation Service, including data inputting and appointment management.
  • Manage phone calls and respond to queries from staff, patients, and others.
  • Work alongside clinic coordinators to ensure seamless clinic operations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong educational background, ideally with GCSEs or equivalent.
  • Proven administration experience, preferably in the NHS.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Harris Flex systems.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
