KS1 PMLD Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our team at a Lewisham-based school. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with profound multi-learning disabilities (PMLD) and be committed to promoting engagement, independence, and learning.
Job Requirements- Work closely with class teachers to enhance pupil learning and achieve best outcomes
- Promote pupil independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion by implementing effective behavior management strategies
- Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating in play-based learning lessons
- Foster inclusivity by encouraging participation in extracurricular activities and maintaining a stimulating and safe learning environment
- Assist in planning, preparation, and resourcing for lessons
- Support personal care when needed, in collaboration with other staff members
This full-time role offers small class sizes, regular CPD training, and a supportive environment that promotes growth and development.
Estimated salary: £28,500 per annum.
