Mechanical Package Engineer

Key Responsibilities:- Lead activities in developing the mechanical design within the project's budget and determining timing for resource requirements.
- Serve as the liaison for inter-discipline engineering involved in the project and be accountable for overall discipline-related activities for the successful completion of the project.
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
- Chartership status or actively undergoing the process for attaining Chartership through a recognised international body
- Understanding of the EPR or general PWR design
- Knowledge and experience in Nuclear Mechanical Equipment Design
- Understanding of Equipment interfaces (safety case, systems engineering, CDM)
- Contract management and documentary surveillance experience
- Capable of producing technical specifications, including a sound understanding of nuclear processing regulations
- Understanding of nuclear power generation, and the specialities of nuclear technology

In the absence of a master's degree in mechanical engineering, significant qualifications in an Engineering field with necessary work experience are acceptable.
Due to the nature of the work, role holders will be required to undergo a Basic Security clearance (BPSS) and must have Permanent Independent Right to Work in the UK.
