Role Overview

As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician at Steer Automotive Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of automotive repair services. With a focus on mechanical, electrical, and trim components, your expertise will help us deliver exceptional customer satisfaction and uphold our commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical and bodywork tasks on allocated jobs, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment.
  • Dismantle vehicles for panel repairs and conduct inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work.
  • Order and manage replacement parts to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.
  • Ensure all work meets our quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with the team regarding the status of repairs.

Requirements

  • Significant experience as an MET Technician from an accident repair background.
  • Competency in ADAS, wheel alignment, strip/refit, mechanical work, and using diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to efficiently plan and manage workload to meet agreed timescales.
  • Commitment to completing work in line with manufacturer specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
