This is a teaching opportunity at George Heriot's School. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in biology to students in various stages of their academic journey.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.

Apart from core academic duties, the selected individual will be expected to participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the overall academic environment at George Heriot's School.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students in biology
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
  • Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress

Requirements:

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS)
  • Strong knowledge of biology curriculum and pedagogy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
