The Role

This role involves welding both HVAC products and specialist ventilation system products for safety-critical facilities. As a welder's apprentice, you will report directly to production supervision and work within the operational level of the business.

  1. Perform welding tasks on stainless steel and carbon steel HVAC products ranging from 1
  2. .
  3. Complete general welding duties associated with all product types (Folded & Welded) in accordance with welding procedures.
  4. Complete weld repair activities in accordance with welding procedures.
  5. Understand and comply with associated welding standards.
  6. Assist and support sheet metal workers during tacking tasks during manufacture.
  7. Complete basic fabrication tasks to support manufacture.
  8. Comply fully with manufacturing SHEQ best practice/behaviours and legislation.
  9. Support the manufacturing team in achieving deliverables.
  10. Experience welding both stainless steel and carbon steels ranging from 1
  11. .
  12. Experience with both Tig and Mag welding processes.
  13. Basic knowledge to interpret manufacturing drawings and engineering information.
  14. Basic fabrication knowledge to support manufacturing assembly.
  15. Overhead crane Experience (training will be provided).

Highly Desirable (but not essential): Nuclear Quality related Experience.
