About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Community Staff Nurse to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Community Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to individuals with learning disabilities in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of complex physical health practice for individuals with learning disabilities
  • Provide specialist assessment, intervention, and management to ensure holistic and evidence-based care
  • Collaborate with colleagues, service users, families, and other agencies to address health needs
  • Develop and implement health promotion strategies to improve overall health and wellbeing
  • Facilitate access to mainstream health services and provide intensive healthcare support to individuals with complex needs
Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse (RNLD) qualification
  • Ongoing professional development and specialist training to masters equivalent level
  • Extensive post-qualification experience in adult learning disability services
  • Supervisory roles with staff and students
  • Experience of management or similar senior clinical experience
