Job Title: Band 5/6 Mental Health Community Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Mental Health Nurse to join our dynamic team at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our North Cotswolds Recovery Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to adults of working age with complex mental health needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with experience in mental health to work in a community setting. You will be responsible for coordinating care for a designated caseload, working within the Assessment and Care Management Policy, and undertaking duty and initial assessments. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and implementation of evidence-based interventions for service users with common, acute mental health and longer-term recovery needs.
  • Optimise the service user's ability to remain in the community and/or be cared for in the least restrictive environment in line with the principles of recovery and social inclusion.
  • Support clinical governance initiatives at ward/hospital level, such as Essence of Care Clinical Audit.
Person Specification
  • Experience in mental health nursing, preferably in a community setting.
  • Registered Nurse Mental Health (RNMH) qualification.
  • Experience in recovery interventions and community mental health care.
