About the Role

We're seeking a talented junior designer to join our award-winning publishing team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for creating engaging print layouts and supporting our senior designers on various design tasks.

This is an excellent opportunity for skills development and professional growth in a fast-paced production environment. You'll work closely with our editorial team to deliver high-quality designs that meet our brand's standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and executing creative print layouts for our monthly titles
  • Supporting senior designers on a range of design tasks
  • Collaborating with the editorial team to ensure design consistency
  • Developing your skills and expertise in Adobe Creative Suite

Requirements

  • Graduate degree or equivalent in design or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Strong understanding of print design principles and technical aspects
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Professional experience in a print design environment
  • Knowledge of working with freelance illustrators and contractors
  • Passion for food and drink, with an interest in illustration or photography
