Job Title: Sustainability and Social Value Manager

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability and Social Value Manager to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in driving our sustainability and social value initiatives, ensuring we continue to operate responsibly and ethically.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing Sustainability Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies aligned with our organisational values and goals.
  • Building Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainability and social value initiatives.
  • Communication and Engagement: Support the communication of sustainability and social value to improve awareness, engagement, and participation.
  • Social Value Policy Development: Develop and contribute to our existing Social Value policy and procedures.
  • Cultural Sustainability Initiatives: Work alongside department managers to promote initiatives that support employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve CSR offerings, ensuring a positive impact on the community.
  • Sustainability Reporting: Prepare and publish reports on our progress, communicating to relevant leaders and the Bid Management team.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve sustainability efforts.
  • Social Impact Activity Reporting: Measure and report the impact of community and social impact activity in line with widely used frameworks.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Passionate about sustainability and social value, with a strong background in corporate sustainability.
  • Proven experience in social impact and sustainability management, preferably within the healthcare sector or related fields.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data effectively.
  • Self-motivated, working under own initiative and delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of public procurement and competitive bidding requirements.
  • Able to reliably commute to the office in Rochdale.
