About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Project Manager to promote valuable solutions, manage customer relationships, and ensure projects are secured and delivered to agreed requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills, sales orientation, and ability to manage under pressure.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Identify and drive current and new sales/business opportunities for projects of up to £2m in value, including service support, revamps, refurbishments etc.
  2. Create added value solutions to customer enquires.
  3. Build customer relationships, maintaining strong communication and effective management of client expectations.
  4. Lead the bid process, manage budgets, and ensure compliance of policies, process and legalities.
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure necessary technical clarifications or engineering activities are carried out to time and on budget.
  6. Ensure handovers from Sales to Operational teams mitigate all risks during project execution.

Requirements

  • Strong finance and commercial awareness.
  • Awareness of sales and project execution strategies with the ability to tailor the strategy dependent on the customer and business needs.
  • Good understanding of metals or heavy engineering industry and the technical and commercial requirements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Sales orientated with ability to manage under pressure.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is around £60,000-£80,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer various flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle, such as insurances, holiday buy/sell, cycle to work and payroll giving. Additionally, we provide matched pension up to 10%, bespoke personal development plans, and annual Chartership fees covered.
