Hygiene Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hygiene Manager to join our team at GrowUp Farms. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of our hygiene guidelines and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Hygiene Standards: Maintain the highest standards of hygiene in all areas of the factory, ensuring compliance with current legislation, microbiological, internal, and external customer hygiene standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the hygiene team, ensuring correct levels of staffing and training, and providing guidance and support to ensure the team is equipped to meet the demands of the role.
- Deep Cleaning and Scheduling: Plan and implement deep cleaning and overhead cleaning schedules, working closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Investigations and Corrective Actions: Investigate and take necessary corrective actions in response to any out-of-specification environmental micro results.
- KPI Achievement: Ensure the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) across all shifts.
- Compliance and Audits: Maintain cleaning standards, records, and procedures in a state compliant to BRC and other relevant audit standards, and conduct compliance audits/inspections of internal hygiene standards and documentation.
- Experience: Previous experience within a high-care food manufacturing environment.
- Certifications: HACCP Level 3, COSHH Level 3, and ideally Food Safety Level 3 qualified.
- Knowledge: Listeria, micro, and chemical control awareness knowledge, and an understanding of BRCGS or large retailer audits.
