Job Title: MIG Welder / Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled MIG welder with expertise in architectural and structural steel fabrication to join our team at Recra Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welding Expertise: Possess strong background in MiG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques, with proficiency in welding steel structures using MiG welding processes and producing high-quality welds with strong structural integrity.
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Skilled in reading and interpreting detailed architectural and structural drawings, including understanding welding symbols, dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and welding.
  • Steel Fabrication: Experienced in steel fabrication, with familiarity in handling and manipulating steel components, cutting and shaping steel, and assembling structural elements according to specifications.
  • Safety Compliance: Strong commitment to safety practices and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, with ability to follow all necessary safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safe welding procedures.
  • Quality Control: Attention to detail and commitment to producing work of the highest quality, with ability to inspect and verify the accuracy and quality of welds and ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with need to coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals involved in the project, as well as work closely with other fabricators and welders.
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Possessing relevant certifications, such as a welding certification from a recognized authority or an apprenticeship completion certificate, can greatly enhance the welder's qualifications and credibility.
