The Role

We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join our team at Optima UK Inc Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding to a high quality and working at speed to meet targets. The role requires the ability to work to high/tight tolerances and have experience working with mild steel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1+ years' experience as a Welder
  • Read blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications
  • Knowledge of using measuring equipment to quality check work
  • Fettling and grinding sheet metal work
  • Quality check finished products
  • Record and report any issues
  • Manual handling of different tools to complete the job to the highest standards set
