Midwifery Training and Development Manager Position

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced midwife to join our team as a Midwifery Training and Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the development of our midwifery staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training programs for midwives, ensuring they meet the needs of our patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality education and training.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and develop strategies to address gaps in midwifery knowledge and skills.
  • Lead the development of in-house post-registration courses and contribute to the development of academic programs.
  • Review and influence the development of policies based on local and national agendas.
  • Coordinate audits of midwifery practice to demonstrate compliance with national standards.

Requirements

  • Registered midwife with a minimum of five years post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent clinical and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a highly demanding environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement audit and research recommendations.
  • Experience of involvement in change management and the ability to identify poorly performing staff.
