Job Title: Senior Container Orchestration Specialist

At Coforge, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Container Orchestration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our platform operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team that works to improve deployment and operations processes related to container orchestration platforms (Tanzu Application Service).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team that will work to improve deployment and operations processes related to container orchestration platforms (Tanzu Application Service).
  • Play an integral role in ensuring our platforms are secure, resilient, and reliable, helping to reduce the toil required by this activity.
  • Develop automation, providing support to platform users, building the skills of other team members, responding to incidents and performing platform operations in general.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of container orchestration platforms (Tanzu Application Service).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes is desirable.
  • Experience automating platform operations including deployment, upgrading, provisioning (onboarding) and maintenance activities.
  • Software engineering expertise including strong proficiency in Python, Go or other languages.
  • Consulting experience related to helping others gain platform engineering and software engineering skills.
  • Incident response skills including platform and application problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Experience with Terraform, Concourse.
  • Experience with monitoring systems such as Datadog, Splunk and Log Insight.
  • Candidates preferably willing and able to participate in On-Call.
  • Based in the UK, working UK hours with colleagues mostly in UK, but also in CN, IN, US and HK.
  • Experience of managing an engineering team supporting business critical production services.
