Job Description

As a seasoned professional, you will lead a team responsible for enhancing the deployment and operations processes related to container orchestration platforms (Tanzu Application Service). Your expertise will ensure our platforms are secure, resilient, and reliable, reducing the toil required by this activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop automation to support platform users, build the skills of other team members, respond to incidents, and perform platform operations.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve deployment and operations processes, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Provide consulting experience to help others gain platform engineering and software engineering skills.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of container orchestration platforms (Tanzu Application Service) and Kubernetes.
  • Experience automating platform operations, including deployment, upgrading, provisioning, and maintenance activities.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or other languages, as well as software engineering expertise.
  • Incident response skills, including platform and application problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Experience with Terraform, Concourse, Datadog, Splunk, and Log Insight.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing an engineering team supporting business-critical production services.
  • Ability to participate in On-Call rotations.
