We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join our Urgent and Emergency Care Transformation Team as a National Specialty Advisor. As a key member of our Senior Management function, you will work closely with the National Clinical Lead for Urgent and Emergency Care to deliver strategic objectives and improve patient flow within the NHS.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement solutions to improve direct referral to Same Day Emergency Care, linking hospitals, NHS 111, and the Ambulance Service.
- Enhance data transfer from 111 to hospitals, ensuring seamless communication and efficient patient care.
- Organize referrals of patients via alternatives to ED, utilizing SDEC, NHS 111, and community services.
- Engage with stakeholders within and outside NHS England to promote the IUEC programme and drive transformation.
- Proven expertise in Emergency Medicine, with significant experience in patient flow, Same Day Emergency Care, and NHS 111.
- Operational experience as Head of Department or Clinical Service Lead, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively via telephone, teleconference, and email.
