Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Relief Driver to join our team at Gregory Group. As a Class 1 Relief Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting goods to customers using a curtain-sided vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring load security.
- Delivering and collecting goods to customers.
- Dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
- Using a handheld PDA to complete daily vehicle checks.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing customer expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
- A flexible approach is required as the position will involve covering both day and night work.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Fitness, flexibility, hard work, and self-motivation are essential for this role.
Benefits:
- Basic salary for Class 1 Relief Driver is £37,000 per annum (including night allowance).
- Rest day working paid.
- £70 every 5 years for HGV Medical.

- Hours of work are based on 4on 4off shifts, starting circa 19:00 hours.
