Electronics Engineer for Medical Equipment Maintenance

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to join their team as a Senior Technical Specialist in Clinical Engineering. This exciting opportunity will see you working across multiple hospital sites, providing specialist technical knowledge and support for the maintenance, repair, and sub-contractor management of medical equipment.

About the Role

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing first-line support to users of medical equipment, ensuring optimal system uptime and maximizing use of equipment. You will work closely with clinical teams to provide insight into progress with maintenance and repair of devices, ensuring compliance levels are met.

We are looking for an individual with a minimum of HNC in Electronics engineering and extensive experience in medical electronics. You should possess specialist knowledge in the application and use of a wide range of electro-biomedical equipment, as well as knowledge and experience of current legislation recommendations for the management of medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist technical knowledge and support for the implementation and delivery of a long-term operational plan for cost-effective and efficient management and deployment of safe medical devices
  • Work towards achieving compliance levels for medical device repair and maintenance, including downtime and ensure systems are available to enable clinical teams to have insight into progress with maintenance and repair of their devices
