Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled ROV/Trencher Pilot Technician to join our team at DeepOcean. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our ROV/Trencher spread.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the planning and execution of ROV/Trencher operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company procedures.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of the ROV/Trencher spread, identifying and reporting any defects or issues.
  • Collaborate with the ROV Supervisor to develop and implement effective maintenance and repair strategies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, ensuring that all personnel are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, drawings, and schematics.
  • Participate in risk assessments and safe job analyses, ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and innovations, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
Requirements
  • Apprenticeship Certificate in Electronics, Automation, Remote Systems, Hydraulics, or Electric.
  • Proven experience in ROV/Trencher operations, with a strong understanding of complex systems and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to read and understand complex electrical and hydraulic drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
