As a Train Driver, you will have the opportunity to work on various locomotives: from our class 37s to state-of-the-art class 70s. You will be a key player in running our Freight services in the LNE region, ensuring a safe and reliable service operation of freight trains as a role model Train Driver offering a best-in-class service.

In your role, you will work with rostering and training teams, driver standards managers, delivery managers, and staff at all levels to ensure freight services run safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of the line and all employees and public that may be affected by the operation of trains.
  • Have a clean safety record.
  • Hold a current PTS (third rail) appropriate to CTRL.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Be flexible with working shift patterns.
  • Be able to identify competency standards required as a result of legislation, operational standards and safety procedures and maintain same by audit and surveillance.
