Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grounds Person to join our Estates Department at Malvern College. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the college grounds to the highest standard, ensuring that our facilities are safe and well-maintained for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of sports surfaces, including cricket, athletics, tennis, and rounders in the summer, and rugby, football, hockey, cross-country, and netball in the winter.
  • Perform general upkeep of the school grounds, including gardening, landscaping, and horticultural tasks.
  • Support the wider Estates Department as required, including maintenance and repairs.
  • Operate horticultural machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in the field of maintaining grounds.
  • Sound knowledge and use of horticultural machinery.
  • The ability to work effectively both individually and as a team.
  • Full and valid UK Manual Driving Licence.
