Corporate Counsel, Prime Video

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Counsel to join our Prime Video legal team in Amazon's world-class legal department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of entertainment law and driving business growth for Amazon.
Key Responsibilities- Structuring, Drafting, and Negotiating Complex Agreements: You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements with production companies, studios, device manufacturers, and other business partners.
- Advising Business Teams: You will serve as primary legal support for various teams within the Prime Video business, including Business Development, Prime Video Channels, and Sports.
- Research, Advice, and Expertise: You will research, advise, and develop expertise on new product initiatives and regulatory matters, providing thought leadership to the business on day-to-day matters and long-term strategic issues.
Prime Video Legal is part of the Amazon Entertainment Legal group, which also includes Amazon Studios, Amazon Music, Audible, Games, and Twitch. We pride ourselves on facilitating progress and delivering results, operating with the highest level of integrity and valuing character as much as intelligence.
Requirements- Qualified Lawyer: You must be a qualified lawyer with outstanding legal qualifications.
- Transactional Experience: You must have 6+ years of experience in a national or international law firm, with transactional experience, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Strong Drafting and Communication Skills: You must have strong drafting, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as creativity, self-awareness, and a good sense of humor.
- Business and Legal Instincts: You must have incisive business as well as legal instincts, sound judgment in ambiguous situations, and the ability to deliver results independently and collaboratively.
