About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our clinical team at The Tower School in Essex. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex communication needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, you will provide individualized support to help our pupils achieve their full potential. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and implementing effective communication strategies, promoting social and emotional well-being, and enhancing academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex communication needs
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide training and support to staff on communication strategies and techniques
  • Contribute to the development of the Clinical Team's policies and procedures
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the overall well-being of the team
Requirements
  • Recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree
  • Valid and up to date HCPC Registration
  • Registered member of RCSLT
  • Previous experience of paid or voluntary work within a trauma or complex needs setting
  • Experience within the specialist client group (complex communication issues relating to autism, including language disorder, dyspraxia, sensory impairment, learning disabilities/difficulties and associated challenging behaviour)
  • Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
