Director of Alternative Education

As a key member of The Progress Group, you will oversee the operational management of our Community Learning programme. This involves ensuring the performance of Community Teachers who work with students from challenging backgrounds. Your primary goal will be to promote high-quality pastoral interventions and drive student progress towards reintegration into education.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the delivery of a broad and stimulating curriculum tailored to the needs of students
• Manage the operational performance of the Community Learning Team
• Work closely with Senior and Wider Leadership Teams to ensure student well-being and progress
• Provide rigorous progress reports to stakeholders and attend inspections for schools with Community students on-roll
Requirements
• Hold a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) and degree or equivalent
• NPQSL and/or NPQH desirable
• Strong administrative and organizational skills to manage the Community Learning Team
• Ability to oversee the delivery of an effective curriculum and pastoral support
• Proven ability to manage and support staff with behavior management and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies
