About the Role

The Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Finance team is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join their team. As a key member of the ATS Finance team, you will be responsible for owning key financial reporting and alignment, developing key processes around the organization's goals, and performing financial analyses of major business events.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon.
  2. Deliver weekly/monthly financial close. Use financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets.
  3. Create effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events.
  4. Use active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.
  5. Collect and analyze quantitative data to develop relevant reports that drive cost reductions.
  6. Contribute to work-life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members as an indicator of operations excellence.
About the Team

The ATS Finance team is a dynamic and fast-paced team that is responsible for providing financial leadership and guidance to the Amazon Transportation Services business. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with multiple stakeholders within both finance and the business teams to provide insight, analysis, and financial leadership as we rapidly expand and evolve the ATS financial reporting.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Tax, Finance, or a related analytical field. Multiple finance and accounting roles experience. Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience. Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses. Experience building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making. Experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis. Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results. Advanced English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan. Experience solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business. MBA or CPA. Knowledge of SQL/ETL. Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools and other financial systems. Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
