Humanities and PSHE Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data & Monitoring Coordinator to join our team at Southover Partnership School - Edgware - TES.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the provision of Humanities and PSHE across all our sites, ensuring the curriculum is differentiated to raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement.
This is a key role in our school, and we are looking for someone who can make a significant impact on the education and development of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities- To be proficient in teaching KS3 and KS4 Humanities and PSHE, including Functional Skills and GCSE.
- To lead, manage, and develop the subject/curriculum area, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- To actively monitor and follow up on pupil progress, working closely with teachers and other staff members.
- To liaise with the Head of School regarding the development and delivery of PSHE, ensuring alignment with the school's strategic goals.
- To train staff to effectively deliver PSHE in their subject area, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- To implement School Policies and Procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- To work with colleagues to formulate aims, objectives, and strategic plans for the department, aligning with the needs of pupils and the school's strategic goals.
- To develop and enhance the teaching practice of others, promoting a culture of collaboration and professional development.
- To promote teamwork and motivate staff to ensure effective working relations, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
- To act as a positive role model, demonstrating a commitment to the school's values and mission.
- To be a member of the PSHE Association, staying up-to-date with best practices and developments in the field.
- To comply with the school's Health and Safety policy, undertaking risk assessments as appropriate.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data & Monitoring Coordinator who can make a significant impact on the education and development of our pupils.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in teaching KS3 and KS4 Humanities and PSHE, including Functional Skills and GCSE.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, staff, and pupils.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate performance data, making informed decisions to improve teaching and learning.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, promoting a culture of collaboration and professional development.
- Commitment to the school's values and mission, with a strong sense of social responsibility.
